Workshop Program

Inward Balance

Daoist monk morning routine

Discover a modern adaptation of the traditional Daoist monks' morning practice. This Qi Gong sequence is designed to help you calm the body and mind, improve focus, awaken your energy, and prepare yourself for the day ahead. A simple routine you can take home and make part of your daily life.

Zhineng Qigong: Taiji Ball

Taiji Ball Nei Jing is the most dynamic exercise in Zhineng Qigong. Regular practice increases inner strength and helps to develop a sense of calm in everyday life. In the workshop we will focus on learning the basics of the movement.

Language and Poetry in Tai Chi

Tai chi is sometimes described as the everyday poetry of the body. By continually finding new words to express age-old principles, each movement feels unique. Metaphors from music, gardening or cooking often reappear. During class, we explore how language and imagination help embody knowledge.

Silent meditation, a meditation technique

Silent meditation is a meditation technique in which you go into yourself using only your concentration and breath. It has no goal other than coming back to yourself and find your inner peace.

Balance within

Chi Kung: ‘Dragon breath’

The “dragon breath” is a technique where we are focusing on firmly breathing out during the exercises. So the techniques will be more effective. It is all about broader and more stable stances, bigger movements than normal and more fire-breaths.

Biomechanics & Yoga: Autonomic nervous system part 1

In these yoga workshops, we invite you to experience how simple practices and practical tools can help bring your body back into a state of rest and recovery—the rest-and-digest state.

Biomechanics & Yoga: Autonomic nervous system  part 2

You will learn how to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing your body and mind to relax, restore, and replenish their energy.

Sound healing meditation with singing bowls

A sound bath is a gentle and relaxing way to reconnect with yourself. Sound can help you let go of tension, expand your awareness, and inspire new insights and creativity. It also supports the body's natural capacity for healing

In balance with the outside world

WuShu/self-defence: exploring inner strength

Through stance, breathing, and the cultivation of chi, you will discover how simple techniques can increase confidence, stability and resilience, showing that effective self-defense is not dependent on physical size or strength.

Pencak Silat

Under the guidance of Henry Otgaar, the Pencak Silat school in Maastricht combines self-defence, personal development and respect for Indonesian culture in a welcoming learning environment for both beginners and advanced practitioners.

Tai Chi: Push Hands – Tui Shou

Learn to root yourself and build a stable foundation for greater balance and stability. Through playful partner exercises, you will explore your own limits and those of others while developing sensitivity, relaxation, and connection. Tui Shou reveals how softness can become strength.

Qi Gong: the language of Qi

Qi Gong is not only a personal practice—it is also a way of relating to the world around us. Through partner exercises, we will explore how to perceive Qi in ourselves and others, developing sensitivity, presence, and connection. By learning to sense and harmonize energy together, we discover new ways of communicating beyond words.
